"The Blue Room"

When this client purchased their new home they left a home in which Texas Integrated Systems and Texas
Electric had already done a great deal of customization. They knew when they did this one that they
wanted lighting control, automated living and audio all over the house. They also knew they wanted a
theater to have family movie night but were not quite sure how to get there. KG Theaters was brought in
with the specific goal of working with the client to develop a home theater plan. The project began simply
enough and slowly built momentum and took on a life of it's own. By using unique materials and high
quality fabrics as well as light the room looks modern and refined but still performs acoustically and
provides durability for the family of six. We worked hard to develop a room for the discriminating listener
but also a room for the whole family. With younger children in the family we could not free stand the
speakers in the room for the ultimate in two-channel listening but with careful speaker placement, acoustic
placement and most importantly on site engineering from California Audio Technologies we created a
room that not only had a high wow factor but also performed well in excess of the clients expectations. The
final touch was the wall to wall 2.35-1 CineWide screen supplied by Stewart Film-screen. With the
combination of great sound, great lighting and a wall of stunning movie video you are immediately
immersed and taken a way to a land far far way.
